Day 4 we drove to Tarifa, Spain and took the hydrofoil ferry to Tanger, Morocco for the day. We had a guided tour of the city. Went up in the hills to the wealthy area. There was too much fog for good views from there. We drove and also walked through many of the streets visiting shops and markets with lovely displays of fruits, vegetables, olives, herb, meat, and flowers. A typical Morocan lunch was also included in our tour. The food was very nice and we were serenaded by a musical group. The Morocans believe in using a lot of herbs and organic foods that they grow.

Interestingly, Morocco was one of the first countries to recognize the USA as an independent country in 1776.
