Cheryl, Kent, Melissa, Rylan and we traveled over 400 miles to Portland to celebrate Thanksgiving with Shelly and Charli Jo. We had a great weekend with lots of good food and socializing. Also enjoyed the Christmas lights at the Portland Speedway. Very unique and included the 12 days of Christmas. We were fortunate to have good roads to drive on most of the way to Portland and back to Spokane and Hayden. The scenery was gorgeous with trees beautifully covered in snow in Washington and frozen waterfalls in the Oregon gorge.

Our winter started early this year. During the month of November, mostly in the last 9 days of that month, we got about 26 inches of snow which set a new snow record for November. That is nearly twice as much as we got for the whole winter last year. Two and 3 winters ago we set records for the most snow in a season. We are off to a good start to having a lot of snow this winter.

Our plan will be to have an early Christmas with Cheryl's family and then drive to Portland for an early celebration with Shelly and Charli Jo and then drive to Sacramento for another Christmas celebration with Carey's family. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.

We have been enjoying Christmas programs, parades, lights, Rylan's school band concert, etc. We are looking forward to new adventures for the New Year.

Hope that all of our friends and family will have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. We praise God for His blessings during this year. We pray for God's continued blessings for all.
